How to read Egyptian Franco / Arabizi

Franco (Arabizi) is not a secret code; numbers sometimes stand in for Arabic sounds. Put “7elw,” “5alas,” “ba7bk,” and “tet2al ezzay” side by side, then read a message one piece at a time.

Words and phrases

    That 7 is doing sound work: in Franco it stands in for ح.
