Egyptian Arabic for beginners: your first words

Start with the words you will hear every day. "Ezzayak" asks how someone is doing, "tamam" means okay, "khalas" means done or enough, and "ma3lesh" helps you brush off small problems.

  1. ezayyakازيك

    The everyday check-in that opens any conversation.

    يعني «أخبارك إيه؟» وبتفتح بيها السلام مع حد تعرفه. كلمة صغيرة، وبعدها الحكاية غالبًا بتطوّل.

    Everything is fine, or agreement.

    Means "perfect", "okay", or "fine". Universal response word for agreement or confirmation.
